About US

Malmesbury DFAS, now known as The Arts Society Malmesbury, was inaugurated in November 2011 and now has over 230 members.

We offer a varied and challenging programme range of lectures, day visits and longer cultural tours to meet the diverse and often very specialist interests of our members. For our day visits and longer tours we like to take members to locations or events that may be less well known or to which only The Arts Society or other specially booked groups have access.

For details of where we hold our lectures please select Where We Meet from Our Society on the menu above.

Our varied programme of events can be accessed by selecting the appropriate button above. Early each summer we publish on our website the programme for the forthcoming year (October to July); a printed version is usually distributed in August.

Visits: Dates for visits are shown on this website and also on your programme card, and additional visits may be announced on the website during the year. Prices vary depending on the venue, but typically include entrance fees, coach fare and the services of a guide. Meals are not normally included. Payment is required at the time of making a booking. This fee can only be refunded if there is a waiting list for the visit and your place can be taken by another member.

Study Days: We normally hold one such day during the year, and the price includes morning and afternoon lectures as well as lunch.  Payment is required at the time of making a booking. This fee can only be refunded if there is a waiting list for the event and your place can be taken by another member.

The Arts Society West Mercia: We are part of this regional group, and our member are welcome to attend their lectures. Their website gives information on their activities.
